About Camera Dojo

Camera Dojo publishes guides to film cameras, instant cameras, film stocks, film developing and early digital cameras for photographers in the United States.

Camera Dojo is under new ownership. It is not affiliated with the original Camera Dojo blog and podcast that ran from 2007 to 2013, and none of the current pages were written by its founders.

How the guides are made

Most pages are built from what owners, reviewers, repair shops and manufacturers have already published. For each camera or film we collect opinions from forums, blogs, video reviews and retailer reviews, sort them by topic and tone, and count where people agree. Every quote is short, copied word for word, and linked to its source, and a script checks that each quote really appears on the page it cites. The full process is in our methodology.

What we have not done yet

We have not tested the cameras, films or labs on this site ourselves. Pages say so near the top. When we do test something, the page will say what we did and when.

How the site makes money

Camera Dojo shows ads from Google AdSense. Advertisers have no say in what a page says. Some links to stores may become affiliate links, which pay us a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. That never decides what a page says. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.

Camera Dojo is operated by Futuryt.
