just catching up with podcasts, and was listening to this one today… I was probably at Glazer's Camera on the same day you recorded. The had NO BlackRapid straps. In fact, I was looking at bags and straps when someone asked about the BlackRapids and the sales woman responded that they straps were failing (d-rings breaking) and that Glazer's was no longer selling the straps because of the failures…

I have never seen a report of an R-Strap failing and there are no d-rings on the straps to fail. A cheap tripod mount with a weak D-ring could possibly fail but the R-Strap is not going to. If you arent confident in your tripod mount, use the connector that comes with the strap.
