Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.0 eSeminar

Adobe’s Rick Miller, my personal Lightroom Guru, is doing an online seminar this Friday at 1pm PST. These are normally invitation-only events but they have opened it up to all Camera Dojo readers as well. If you want to see some really cool new features in Lightroom 2.0 then you should find a way to attend it. I will certainly be there as I never miss an opportunity to see Rick showing how to do cool things with my favorite tool

DIYPhotography At My Home Photo Contest

Our good friends over at DIYPhotography.net have launched a new photo contest called At My Home. Not only do we think this is a great idea for a photo contest but yours truly here is one of the judges! From the DIYPhotography site:

At My Home contest is about the most important place in your life: home. The emotions of home: the distinctive rituals, the intimate moments, and all the myriad ways in which you work, play, learn, conduct your life, and interact with friends, family members (and pets!) as you transform your dwelling into your home.”

Adobe Releases Photoshop Express Updates

Adobe has rolled out some cool new features into the online Photoshop Express product. Here are a few of the key items:

Flickr integration
Photoshop Express is now officially hooked up with Flickr. Now you can pull photos from Flickr into Photoshop Express, amp them up, then upload them back into Flickr to show them off to your vast and adoring fan base.

Embeddable player
Take your photo slideshows to the wider webified world with the embeddable player, which lets you post your slideshows to Facebook, MySpace, and other sites where your audience awaits.

Save as
Go version crazy with the new Save As feature. With Save As, you can keep the original shot of your best friend alongside all the ones where you gave him a tragically oversized head. (Your work is genius—why not save it all for posterity?)

L7Foto Changes name to Camera Dojo

L7Foto.com has been growing by leaps and bounds but the problem is that when you tell someone L7Foto.com they remember L7Photo.com which belongs to someone else. To make it easier to find and tell people the URL we have changed the name to CameraDojo.com. This new name is reflective of our style of providing news, information, tutorials, and tips in a central location. We have lots of new things planned for CameraDojo.com so stay tuned and thanks for coming!

HonlPhoto Rosco Gel Kit Released

If you are into using gels or have wanted to experiment with it, one of the problems is finding good quality and affordable gel sets. While you can always try to get a free sample kit, the gels are small and have a hold in them. What would be almost perfect would be some pre-cut sheets with velcro straps attached. What a brilliant idea if someone did something like that right? Well wait no longer. HonlPhoto has created a killer gel kit that contains all of the common gels you would normally want. Priced at $24.95, this is the ultimate gel starting kit. More information is after the break.
