South Burlington, VT – Through-the-shoe communications allow PocketWizard radios, with version 4.250 ControlTL firmware, to significantly boost the performance of the High Speed Sync (HSS) feature of Canon Speedlite flashes. This means more light (which equals greater working distance), faster recycling times and more flashes per battery set when shooting in Canon’s HSS/FP Flash mode.

Firmware Version 1.0.6 incorporates the following improvements and fixes.

1. Supports the AF assist beam feature of the new flash, Speedlite 270 EX, which is scheduled to be released in April 2009.
2. Changes the error indications that are displayed on the camera.
3. Addresses the vertical banding noise phenomenon.

Kerry and David answer letters from listeners. We tried to answer a question about the gear we take to weddings, but need to do a post about that, its just too long to talk about on the show. Then we talked about organizing files in Lightroom and how we each do it differently. Next we discussed posing people, especially in larger groups and how to make sure they aren’t blinking. Finally we talked about dealing with clients and if you should every turn down work or “fire” a client.
