Podcast #131 – Eric Cheng from Lytro
I recently received a Lytro camera as a Christmas gift and have become rather impressed with the technology although the images are not quite professional grade images yet. (Read: My first impressions of the Lytro camera) To help explain what the Lytro camera is and how it works, we invited Eric Cheng, Director of Photography for Lytro to join us on the program. Eric talks in detail about the history of light field photography and how they developed the technology for consumer use. It’s obvious Lytro has big plans in store for the technology and this podcast will give you some insight as to where this technology can take photography.
