ePhoto 4500W Studio Lighting Kit for $190
Thanks to Dave for pointing this one out. ePhoto has an improve studio light kit that is great for both stills and video. Combined you get around 4,500 watts of light for less than $200!. The kit contains three complete 5-bulb CFL lights, softboxes, light stands, and a carrying case. This is easily the most affordable lighting kit with this much power I have ever seen. If you are just starting off, constant lights can be much easier to use than strobes and this entire three-light kit will cost less than a single name-brand speedlite.

Can someone explain how 15 x60watts equals 4500 watts? sounds like 900 to me!
Each head puts out an about 1500w of power compared to a tungsten light even though they actually use much less power. So the light output rating is not the same as the power consumption rating.
Wow! So these would blow my old tota's out of the water that run at 700watts, use far less power, stay cool, and come daylight balanced?
That's pretty much the theory there. How exaggerated the wattage claim is always the tricky part. Even if they are exaggerating by double, you would get the same power as your existing lights with all the advantages.
