The only reason I am even curious about this is when I get my 5D mark II next month, I'm trying to figure out when LR will support it – I'm thinking LR will support it when Camera Raw supports it, as it seems dependent in some way on Camera Raw. But Camera Raw 4 has reached EOL… hmm!

Lightroom has all of the develop controls built in. Photoshop CS3 uses Camera Raw 4.6 and Photoshop CS4 uses Camera Raw 5.1. Lightroom does not use camera raw at all.
