So, does Lightroom 2 use Camera Raw 5 yet, or still 4.6? If its still using 4.6, will it get upgraded to the new version as well? Curious..

Lightroom does not use camera raw at all. Lightroom has all of the develop controls built in. Photoshop CS3 uses Camera Raw 4.6 and Photoshop CS4 uses Camera Raw 5.1.

Could have sworn it did. In Lightroom:
Help – About Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2…

    Version 2.1 64-bit 512205 Camera Raw 4.6

The only reason I am even curious about this is when I get my 5D mark II next month, I'm trying to figure out when LR will support it – I'm thinking LR will support it when Camera Raw supports it, as it seems dependent in some way on Camera Raw. But Camera Raw 4 has reached EOL… hmm!

It uses the same engine but they are not dependent on each other. When you get Lightroom updates it will update the built-in camera raw. While CR4 may be EOL, I am betting they will provide camera updates for quite a while.
